Honoring Those Who Serve Before They Deploy

It started with a simple ask. A friend reached out to see if we could sponsor a luncheon for her husband’s company so they would feel the love from their community before they ship out on deployment.

A couple of days later, she let us know the real number: 200 soldiers.

So we got to work. In just three days, this community came together and raised over $3,000 to have the luncheon catered.

Tomorrow, June 5, those 200 men and women will get a solid, hot meal before heading out on a long 11 month journey, and just as importantly, they will feel the support of Backing the Brave and the people back home standing behind them.

To everyone who gave, shared, and stepped up: thank you. This is exactly what BTB is about. Sending these soldiers off knowing they are not in this alone.

We will be thinking of you all every day until you are home safe.
